Transitional instruction courses in math and English are specially designed to help 12th-grade students become college-ready before they graduate. These courses are primarily intended for students who are not yet meeting college readiness benchmarks and provide the foundational knowledge and skills required to be college and career ready. A passing grade guarantees student placement into college-level English or math at all Illinois community colleges and participating public universities.
